Insights and Feedback from Trainers
Denis Minja – Lead Trainer
As an expert in the mobile app development industry and Lead Trainer on the team, I have the absolute pleasure of taking the students from day one and seeing them transform before my eyes into real developers. I also get to be their key contact during their one month of project support; it touches my heart to see students who didn’t know what code was call me about their projects they have personally come up with.
Francis Mashalla – Mobile Entrepreneurship
I came to talk to the students and inspire them in their journey from my past experience. I started out just like them; confused on how I could possibly build an app as a Tanzanian. But here I am presenting my company that deals with mobile applications development and training to the students and I can see how it instills the hopes and determination in them. During my presentation, I share about how to start your project, how to continue training and the challenges they are bound to face through the process plus how to deal with them best and still focus on the end game.
Ellen Mndima – Apps Marketing and Branding
The training in Dar was definitely one for the books. Extremely motivated students, engaging lessons being driven back to back with dedicated trainers, not to mention the summer weather! At some point, I had to wonder if we should extend the program! I thoroughly enjoyed coming in to meet all the students and take them through a detailed heart to heart on what happens after making the brave decision of starting their own business.
This included what to do between the ideation stage and meeting an investor and what you should consider along the way; having a solid written plan, forming an effective team, researching about funders and investors, strategizing your marketing and the importance of branding, to mention a few. This discussion got to the core of the students’ real questions and so the Q&A was a pretty intense but productive and enlightening session (and my favorite part!).
Admittedly, I am excited about the next training and I am looking forward to reaching out to more potential coders who will disrupt the status quo of coder businesses in Tanzania.

Attendees Stories & Testimonies
Basilisa Mvungi
Before the training I was hoping to gain enough skills to independently develop mobile apps for professional use. I had zero knowledge on how to develop apps.
After 10 days of training I realized how difficult it is to learn how to code but the instructor was very patient and so we understood a lot. I would have taken much time with little success without his help. His mode of teaching is excellent.
Gabriel Emmanuel
Yes, the teacher is brilliant! This kind of delivery is the best I have ever had throughout the time of academic studies. I recommend all lectures & tutors to adapt this
The teacher is so remarkable! He was never too tired to answer questions about the concepts he preached for two successive days. May be the marketing part can improve

General Feedback
#01 Thanks, guys, for the superb training, Minja, Mndima & Francis, you guys are the best, I cannot think of a better way to express this. It’s my sincerely hope that you will always be available to provide us with professional support and share your experiences and knowledge from android development, marketing, funding, startup management and many more as you just did on the training period.
#02 I think more training like these should be held in Dar es Salaam and other regions in Tanzania, also MBI offices should also be in Dar so as we can reach out to your office physically in case of doubts in coding/support needed.
